Georgina

Warren's oldest sister, Georgina, passed away last night. She had been sick for awhile with Congestive Heart Failure. Georgina was a beautiful person and she will be missed by all that knew and loved her. We ask that you keep our family in your prayers at this time. Thank you.

Arboretum

Since it is so darn cold outside I thought maybe I would reminisce about the summer! In August my friend Jenny and I took our kids to the Arboretum. They had a thing there on mazes and the kids had a great time even though it was over 100 degrees!! What a difference from today's temp of 10 degrees! This is one of the pics from that day and I just love this one!! It is Ally, Lucas & Cole with their friends Alexa and Brett. Hope this picture of a beautiful summer day warms all of you up!!!

Algebra 101

One of the classes that I have right now is Algebra. I have to say that it is going pretty good so far but I was thinking...how many actually remember how to do Algebra? For the rest of my math class, I am going to challenge all of you to a math problem every week. Don't forget to show your work!! HAHA!

Here is this week's problem...

One number is 3 less than another. If 10 times the smaller number minus 4 times the larger number is 24, find the two numbers.

No More Birthday Spankings!!

Every year on the kids' birthdays, my mom & dad come over for supper and grandpa gives the kids their birthday spankings. Dad had a surprise for Ally this year and she couldn't help but celebrate...that's right...NO MORE SPANKINGS for her!!! She was ecstatic!!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!

I know that she's not a baby anymore, but in my eyes, she always will be. Today my little Alexandra Noelle is 12!! She is growing up so fast!! She is growing into a beautiful individual and her dad and I could not be more proud to say that she is OUR daughter.

On a side note, I forgot how much fun it is to update this blog!! I'm on break from school right now, so I have been playing around with a few different things. Ally got to choose the new colors since it is her birthday month. School is going well...I have a 3.87 GPA!! Maybe now that I have a handle on it, I can keep up with the updates!!!

CHRISTMAS

We are about done with family get togethers for Christmas for the year!! We have one more this Saturday with my dad's side. My camera battery died on Christmas day so I did not get many pictures but here are a couple. The first is Ally, Lucas, Cole and Nic with all of the Blumhoefer cousins and the second is Ally, Lucas and Cole with my nephew, Maddox.

Santa Days

In early December, Winthrop celebrated Santa Day! The boys both sat on Santa's lap. Ally however, feels much too mature to do such a thing! I have a feeling Lucas will not be visiting Santa next year. He would not be too excited with me to see this pic on the web site!! Cole on the other hand, could hardly wait to go see the big man!!!

Holiday Concert

In between all of the busy schedules in our household, we attended a Holiday Band Concert at the end of November for Ally and Lucas. They both did a great job!! Ally is still playing the alto sax, but during the concert she played the baritone sax, and Lucas plays the trumpet. We have quite the musical household!!

HALLOWEEN

Well...I figured it was time to do a little update on the web page. An anonymous person...( uh hum...Doug Hanson) informed me he was getting tired of the back rubbing picture!!

The boys opted for some nasty looking masks this year. Warren also got into the spirit of Halloween. We went took the kids trick or treating with our friends, Kris and Rachel. Warren and Kris had the '80's wigs. They looked more like Wayne and Garth!! Party on Wayne...Party on Garth!!

SCHOOL DAYS...

Well...I don't have any pictures to post. Here's why... LIFE IS CRAZY!!!!! Besides the kids busy schedules I have decided to add a busy schedule of my own! I'm going back to school!!! I'm going to continue working while I'm doing this so our life could get a little chaotic! But it will be worth it in the end! I'll try to post some pics this weekend but after that I'm not sure how often the posts will come. I start classes on Monday so until I get acclamated into my schedule...the posts will be on the back burner! WISH ME LUCK!!!

SCRATCHING POST

There's just no pleasing everyone all the time is there? I guess the kids did figure out a way to make themselves happy though. They all needed a good back scratch so they created a chain. They all look so pleased don't they? They actually did this for about 10 minutes. I was shocked that it lasted that long without someone starting a fight!

GUITAR HERO

A couple weekends ago, Lucas had a friend over and he brought his Playstation 2 with. He has the game, Guitar Hero, and if any of you have played it, you know it is an absolute blast to play! Well, Warren thought he'd take a stab at it. His guitar skills leave much to be desired...God I hope he doesn't quit his day job!!

MACHO MEN

The boys have been lifting some little hand weights lately in order to get stronger. Cole thought that he had lifted enough to beat his dad in arm wrestling. He pinned him in about 3 seconds. He really thinks he's something now. If he only knew it was all a set up...his poor little heart would be crushed!! It would probably be best to just let him "think" he's getting bigger muscles!!

POISON!!!!!

Have you ever tried to kill your kids by poisoning them at supper? Apparently, I did just that the other night. We had egg rolls for supper...I know, I know...you're probably all throwing up into a bucket at the thought of eating such a vile, disgusting food. After convincing Ally that the egg roll would not be her demise, she was told she had to eat at least one half of an egg roll. She sat at the table for an entire hour to get that thing choked down. But I will have you all know that she is still up and walking and seems completely unharmed from having to digest such an awful meal. Since this attempt at "poisoning" my daughter didn't work, perhaps I'll try liver and onions next week!!!

PINEWOOD DERBY

The pinewood derby brought out the creative side of a couple boys this year. As you can see, Mater and Lightning McQueen made an appearance. Lucas' car is the red and Cole's is the green. Neither of the boys took top honors, but they did well and had a great time.

BIRTHDAY, BIRTHDAY, BIRTHDAY

The months of December and January are a little crazy for our family. Not only do we have Christmas, but we also have Warren's birthday in the beginning of December, mine at the end of December and Ally's in the beginning of January!!! WOW!!! We sure are tired now that all of the parties are over!
